It is actually more than luck as there is some science behind it, if you could know the reasons behind it you can also try effectively to get conceived. There are a few very important things the couples have to keep in mind while trying to get conceived. If they keep these things in mind and follow them according to guidelines the chances of getting pregnant is more and significant.

While trying to conceive go off birth control pills, condoms and contraceptives of all forms. Try to have proper happy sex.

Quit drinking and smoking

Cutting down on Caffeine

For coffee lovers it may come as a shock but yes caffeine does come in the way while trying to get conceived. So quit drinking if not cold turkey atleast slowely but surely.

Maintain a healthy body

Start and stick to a fitness plan now, and you'll be rewarded with a healthy body that's fit for pregnancy. A healthy exercise program includes 30 minutes or more of moderate exercise, such as walking or cycling and weight training, on most days of the week.

To increase flexibility, try stretching or yoga, and you'll have a well-rounded fitness program. Once you're pregnant, it's okay – even recommended – to continue exercising. (Unless you have pregnancy complications and have been told not to, of course.)

If exercising hasn't been a priority for you lately, you'll need to ease into an exercise routine. Start with something tame, like walking 10 to 20 minutes a day. Add more activity into your daily routine by taking the stairs instead of the elevator or parking your car a few blocks away from work.


Don’t get infected

While trying to conceive be cautious and don’t get infected which could hinder in the way of you getting pregnant. Avoid food which get easily infected like unpasteurized dairy and poultry products, undercooked meat and fish etc. Staying free of infections will increase the chances of getting conceived.

Have sex on the fertile days

As said earlier once you know the fertile days of women have maximum sex in those days which means stop having sex on previous days, it will ensure that your stock of healthy sperms will be ready to fertilize on those two days.

Eat Healthy

This is one of those things if you could remember our parents keep telling us to eat healthy and rich nutritional foods to live healthy and reproduce healthy as well. Eating healthy food will not just increase the chances of getting pregnant but the same time reduce delivery complications and also produce a healthy baby.
